Supporting Inclusive Sport Through Erasmus+: Megamocni at Real Zaragoza

Creativity Works Europe is pleased to have collaborated with the Megamocni Foundation in the implementation of an Erasmus+ exchange focused on the social dimension of sport and inclusion.

As part of the exchange, coaches from the Megamocni Foundation travelled to Zaragoza, Spain, where they visited Real Zaragoza and took part in a programme of meetings, discussions and practical activities focused on the role of sport in creating opportunities for people with disabilities.

During the exchange, the Megamocni coaches had the opportunity to learn more about the social and community initiatives developed by Real Zaragoza, exchange experiences with the club’s representatives, and discuss approaches to inclusive sport. They also participated in training sessions with the Real Zaragoza Genuine team, an initiative that has been running at the club for more than seven years and promotes football participation for people with intellectual disabilities.

The visit provided an important opportunity for professional learning and international exchange. The Megamocni team presented the Foundation’s own activities and experience in inclusive sport and explored possibilities for developing new initiatives and cooperation in the future.

Creativity Works Europe supported Megamocni throughout the process by providing mentoring and guidance in preparing and implementing the Erasmus+ exchange. This support helped the organisation turn its learning objectives into a practical international mobility experience and strengthen its capacity to develop future European cooperation.

The exchange also demonstrated the value of Erasmus+ in connecting organisations working in different countries and creating opportunities to share knowledge, practical experience and approaches to inclusion through sport.

We are proud to have supported the Megamocni Foundation in this international learning experience and look forward to seeing the knowledge and ideas gained in Zaragoza contribute to their future activities.

A special thank you to the Real Zaragoza team for their openness, hospitality and willingness to share their experience, and to everyone who contributed to making the exchange a valuable learning opportunity.
