SAFE Training Course in Sarón, Spain

From 15 to 23 May 2026, participants from Poland, Spain and Italy met in Sarón, Cantabria (Spain) for the training course of the SAFE – Strategies Against cyberbullying For Empowering adults project, hosted by our partner Permacultura Cantabria.

SAFE is an Erasmus+ cooperation partnership in adult education, coordinated by Creativity Works Europe together with Permacultura Cantabria (Spain) and Oriel Association (Italy). The project helps adult educators and communities recognise, prevent and respond to cyberbullying among adults, using emotional intelligence, storytelling and cybersecurity.

During the course, the participants explored storytelling as a way of raising awareness and supporting people affected by online harassment, and learned the methodology of the project’s Interactive Book – the main result of SAFE, which will bring together tools, exercises and narrative-based methods for building empathy, resilience and safer online habits.

One of the highlights was a nature excursion – a chance to disconnect from social media and reconnect with ourselves, the environment and the people around us 🌿 Spending quality time in nature, away from screens, is a healthy exercise both physically and emotionally. Sharing moments, conversations and experiences helped the group strengthen their connections and build resilience together 💚

The programme also included cultural evenings – the Italian participants, for example, introduced everyone to their culture, history and, of course, their amazing gastronomy 🍝✨

A big thank you to Permacultura Cantabria for hosting us and to all participants for their energy and openness!
